Can I wash MASCHIA underwear in a washing machine?

You sure can! Our underwear is high quality and made for everyday use, which means we made them easy to care for. They can be machine washed cold water setting at 30°C max, a gentle cycle if your machine has this feature. Ideally you should wash your underwear separately or in underwear wash bags to prevent snagging or abrasions from heavy weight fabrics, zippers or hooks. You can also easily handwash your MASCHIA underwear in a mild detergent.

What laundry detergent can I use?

This depends on the type of washing machine you use, however a mild, liquid detergent works best. If you prefer powder detergent, make sure it is pre-dissolved before adding your MASCHIA underwear to the wash. Fabric softener is not necessary with our underwear - they are already soft and will stay that way after washing

Can I use a fabric brightener on my MASCHIA underwear?

We don’t suggest using any fabric brightener or whitening detergent with harsh chemicals on your MASCHIA underwear. By washing your lights and darks separately, washing in water not above 30 degrees, you can help to preserve the colours of your MASCHIA underwear. To prevent the colours fading in the sun (sun-bleaching) we recommend drying them on an indoor drying rack or on low heat in your tumble dryer.

How should I dry my MASCHIA underwear?

We don’t recommend line drying your MASCHIA underwear as this can cause sun-bleaching and dull the colour. Drying in the shade on a drying rack is the preferred method. If you use a dryer, choose a low heat setting and a low tumble cycle. As soon as the dryer finishes, remove your underwear from the dryer immediately to avoid wrinkles as we don’t recommend ironing your MASCHIA underwear.

Should I iron my MASCHIA underwear?

We don’t recommend ironing your MASCHIA underwear.

I’ve got stains on my MASCHIA underwear, what should I do?

Never bleach your MASCHIA underwear, it is too harsh and causes damage to the fabric fibres. Instead, try a mild, eco-friendly pre-soak and stain remover for removing light stains. Oxygen based cleaners do a good job on releasing the causes of biologically based stains.

Should I dry clean my MASCHIA underwear?

Do not dry clean MASCHIA underwear.

Does MASCHIA underwear shrink?

MASCHIA underwear won’t shrink as they have been pre-washed and pre-shrunk. That said, we do not recommend drying your MASCHIA underwear in high heat as this can cause damage to the elasticity of the fabric.
